No. You can book directly by phone, WhatsApp or the booking form on this site.
How do I book an appointment?
Call +91 90309 51795, message us on WhatsApp, email info@elitegastroandliverclinic.com, or send a request through the booking form. The clinic will confirm your time.
What are the clinic timings?
Monday to Saturday. Call to confirm today's timings.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Previous medical reports, endoscopy or scan results, recent blood tests, a list of the medicines you take, and an identity document.
What languages does Dr. Mannava speak?
Telugu, English, Hindi and Kannada.
Do you perform endoscopy and colonoscopy at the clinic?
Yes. Upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy are core services. Advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS may be scheduled where the required facilities are available; the clinic will tell you where when you book.
What signs mean I should see a gastroenterologist?
Acidity or abdominal pain that keeps returning, difficulty swallowing, blood in stool or vomit, black stools, yellow eyes, unexplained weight loss, a lasting change in bowel habit, or abnormal liver tests.
What should I do in an emergency?
If you are vomiting blood, passing black stools, have severe abdominal pain, or have jaundice with fever or confusion, go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately, then contact the clinic.
Endoscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP
Is endoscopy painful?
Most people find it uncomfortable rather than painful. A numbing throat spray is used, and light sedation is available, so many patients remember little of the procedure.
How soon will I get my results?
You will hear what was seen before you leave. If a biopsy is taken, the report usually comes back within a few working days.
What is the difference between endoscopy and colonoscopy?
Upper GI endoscopy examines the food pipe, stomach and duodenum through the mouth. Colonoscopy examines the large bowel through the back passage and needs bowel preparation the day before.
Can I eat the day before a colonoscopy?
You will usually have a light, low-fibre breakfast and then only clear liquids for the rest of the day while taking the bowel preparation. The clinic gives you a written schedule when you book.
Will I be awake?
Colonoscopy is done under sedation, so most patients are drowsy and comfortable and remember little of it.
What happens if a polyp is found?
Most polyps are removed during the same colonoscopy and sent for testing. You will not usually need a second procedure.
Is ERCP surgery?
No. ERCP is done through the mouth with an endoscope, with no cuts on the abdomen.
Will I need my gallbladder removed after ERCP for stones?
Often, yes. ERCP clears stones from the bile duct, while the gallbladder that formed them is usually removed later by a surgeon to prevent recurrence.
